Saturday–a very hot day in NYC.
Today we had Matt and Samantha (our friends who convinced us to move all the way over here from California) over this evening for the first time to our new place. Since it’s about a mile from their place, they decided to take a cab, which, under the circumstances was probably a good idea. Let me explain. Today, New York City broke the all-time power consumption record because of the massive heat-wave that is making this city a miserable place to be right now. Outside it reached temperatures of 100 degrees with, oh, about 85% humidity or so. And, of all things, it even decided to rain today–it was cloudy most of the day, so I don’t even want to think about how hot it would have been in the direct sunlight. Whew! Anyway, back to our evening… we had a delicious dinner that Candice prepared from scratch–Mexican Rice, Beans, and Enchiladas. Then we watched Ocean’s Twelve, which was alright. I’m sweating up a storm right now just sitting at the computer, even though it’s midnight, it still hasn’t cooled down much. ::sigh:: I can’t wait until Autumn…

I’m glad they came over, smart choice on the cab!!! i bet you all had fun:)
I would die there with all that humidity and heat. It is killing me here in Paradise! I REALLY want a house near the coast for the summers!
I hear Santa Fe New mexico is great, top places to live, and nice weather etc. hehehe!!!
We have been “down” to the low 90’s which is way better than you guys plus we don’t have the humidity like you do!
We’ll all pray for Autumn!
have a great rest of the weekend!
