The Zereps

so not too much has been goin’ on around here. we’re just enjoying our christmas tree, making popcorn strands, and working on homemade christmas gifts. actually, it’s been pretty fun. 🙂 we’re even going to take our christmas card picture soon.

anyhoo…since i haven’t really talked about my expanding waist line much, i decided to finally take the time! plus, i keep getting asked what i look like or how big i am. i’m technically 25 weeks, which i just call around 6 months, along, so i’m not GIGANTIC yet, but i do have a pronounced baby belly now. which is kinda nice because before i just felt lumpy and bloated. 🙂 i even got my first “when are you due?” question at the supermarket. i haven’t been felt up yet though, probably because we don’t know anybody.

anyhoo…things in my stomach are going fine a guess! i had another u/s on wednesday to look at something, and another doctor’s appointment this morning. my usual doctor’s appointments consist of putting my purse down, getting weighed (oh gosh…..it keeps going up), peeing in a cup, getting my blood pressure taken, answering questions, then chatting with my practitioner then my doctor, then getting jelly squirted on my belly and listening to the the little fellow’s heart beat, which was around 150 bpm this morning. fun times! so far i only go once a month, but pretty soon i’ll get to go every two weeks. i also get my blood glucose tested after christmas…fun times. 🙂

(if you’re wondering why the chair is facing the wall, it’s because leia likes to jump on it and chew the arms of the chair….she’s a chewer!)

another thing i keep getting questions about is where i’m registered at. well….ok….i’m registered at two different places, both equally important. well, kinda three, but i’ll explain.

first there’s target. just search for either my, or eric’s, name.

second, there’s wishlist.com. yes, the very same wishlist.com where my christmas list is located. but the baby registry is located here. the password is “Tangerine”. i’m sorry about the password, but if i take it off, then it jumbles my christmas list with my baby registry. this list includes a link to my third registry…

third! my diaper service! my diaper registry can be found here. please don’t forget about this registry! it is very important! 😀 not only can weeks of service be purchased, but also all the accessories for cloth diapering and butt accessories, too (and yes, i said cloth diapers, don’t give me sarcasm, disposables are yucky).

whew! that’s it! 😀 now i’m going to go update the pug’s blog! 😀

okay, after much prodding eric has agreed up update his wishlist. he will gradually be adding more items to it such as wii games, and editing the priority listings and address settings (we don’t live in astoria anymore).

the camera is back in action!

mmmm….it’s not the holidays without a nice hot chocolate (apologies for the lighting, but it was night out) (oh, btw, did anybody else spot this, my, mug in the movie ‘running with scissors‘? there’s a little trivia fact for you! annette benning is holding it.)

so…..our thanksgiving was nice and kinda uneventful. we had homemade cranberry sauce, tofurkey, gravy, candied yams, carrots and fresh rolls. and vegan pumpkin pie. mmmm…..

the day after thanksgiving we headed out to a store around 5.45 in the morning to catch a doorbuster deal, then went back home and slept! fun times! i can’t really remember what else we did that day.

yesterday we got a christmas tree. i won’t say where from because i’m too embarrassed. 😀 there was only one ‘cut it yourself’ place, and that was to the east of us and a ways away and if it’s not in the mountains it doesn’t exist as far as i’m concerned. and since if it’s not ‘cut it yourself’ i didn’t care where we got it from….pre-cut is a pre-cut no matter where it’s from! here she is!

the pups were so excited when we brought it in! and leia has sampled a few needles off of it, too. we also had to get some decorations because our move last year decimated our belongings.

halloween is over 🙁 what a bummer! plus, i ran out of candy last night at 6.45 so my evening was cut short anyway. however, several little people recognized my costume! they would stand staring at me for a second or so then go “hey, you’re super mario!” 😀 next year i’m buyin’ more candy! and the pups behaved themselves as much as they could. luigi kept them in the family room during all the incursions and fed them lots of tweats.

anyhoo, my mom emailed me some pictures that she took while here. so…in the interest of sharing, here’s some highlights:

Halloween! 😀

on saturday eric and i attended an open house / party hosted by a co-worker. after searching all the thrift stores in town (and in carmichael incidentally) i was able to find eric a pair of overalls and me an overall/skirt thing, i made our costume! mario and luigi! i also threw together some red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and blood (pureed cherry pie filling) and spiders. mmmmm! 😀 very tasty, if i do say so myself!
