What a beautiful day in the city…
…I wish I had taken some pictures. 3 days after the biggest blizzard here since record-keeping started in 1869, it’s sunny and hit a high of over 50 degrees here. The snow is visibly melting–it’s practically raining from all the snow melting off the tops of the buildings onto the sidewalks below. 4-foot tall piles of collected snow still dot the metropolitan landscape though. Right after the storm, it was almost like being in a giant ant farm. The entire ground was covered in up to 27 inches of fresh powder–everything was completely covered in white. But then trails started being carved out. Plows would come through, shovels would clear out the sidewalks, millions of feet would stomp it down or slush right through it. But it’s all melting now; I guess that means I have to turn off the snowflakes plugin. drat.

I don’t think this was the biggest blizzard since 1869, certianly not in inches of snow dropped. Maybe in size of atmospheric disturbance or something though…
