work, work, work…

Well, today was my second day of full-time work. The company I started working for is called Distance Learning, Inc. It’s a small company (less than 50 full-time employees.) They call my position ‘Help desk technician” but I’m more like a Junior Network Admin. Helpdesk usually involves helping people with problems with their internet connection or email and the like, but what I do is more like make sure the servers are running properly, doing backups, suggesting new ideas, updating software, and other maintenance tasks. It takes me about an hour (walking and on the subway) to get to work. Like most people, I wish there were more hours in the day. I also wish more places were open before 8 or after 5 or 6, ’cause I work all during that time. Anyway… I’m tired and getting ready to retire. Good night all.

Sounds like a job that is right up your alley! I would also take less to do during the day and a 6 hr work week like many other places so the “other work” in our lives could get done! Know what I mean Vern?!
