OK. First off.. I love WordPress (the blogging software used to make this site.) It’s so easy to use, there are so many plugins, and it completely customizable. So, I spent some time this evening and added some of my favorite plugins to our blog. Most of them have ended up on the sidebar to the right of the blog entries. New things you will see include:

-AIM Status – Shows if Candice or I are online on AIM
-Simpson Quote – Random Simpsons Quote (OK, I know it’s lame…)
-Live Chat – This one is cool. It allows any simultaneous viewers of the site to chat! Try it out..
-Users Online – This one shows up under the chat section and tells you if anybody else is looking at the site the same time you are.

As if it weren’t great enough being able to read our blog with a full-fledged web browser running on a full-fledged computer system… Now (if you’re really bored) you can read our blog from your very own WAP (i.e. Internet-enabled) cell phone. Just point your little micro-browser to:

martha stewart is back on tv! and i can actually watch it! very momentous. 😉 the show was pretty good. ‘brea’ from desperate housewives was on, which was pretty funny since marcia cross (‘brea’) is the anti-brea in real life and couldn’t even scramble eggs or fold a shirt. anyhoo…i’m going to try to get tickets to go see the show. that’s one of the things i like about living here…there’s so many things to do!

i also have a favorite tv network….spike! eric laughed at me when i was excitedly telling him how much i enjoyed watching ‘deep space 9’ and ‘star trek the next generation.’ sci-fi is pretty good, too. as well as the history channel…there’s nothing better than learning something while you watch tv. 🙂 [fyi, this is the first time eric and i have had cable]

i’m such an idiot. i just twisted my ankle, fell, and broke a plate. darn it! now i don’t have a complete set.

Well, it’s Friday once again. The weeks go by and I find myself thinking that I didn’t do much besides work this entire week, and thus I have nothing much of interest to write about, so I’ll put in a link to something that’s kind of interesting–a Photo Blog of a commuter’s view of the New York Subways.

Things are coming together more at our new place. We took yet another trip to IKEA when my dad was here… Candice built the shelf that we bought for the office to hold all my crap. I also got a computer chair from Target for $50. Since it’s nearly impossible to get to Target without a car, we stocked up as much as we could while we were there. Anyway, I’m looking forward to being able to sleep in tomorrow. Happy Sabbath all.

i am so sick of summer movies! i’ve only seen one *really* good movie (comedies don’t count) and it was ‘the constant gardner’. which i recommend highly, by the way. very good movie.

there’s only two movies, so far, that i’m just dying to see. ‘brokeback mountain’ looks absolutely fantastic. i’m very excited to see it ever since i saw the trailer. and, of course, ‘harry potter and the goblet of fire’. that goes without saying. 🙂 also, i’ve just seen the trailer for ‘the chronicles of narnia’ and it looks pretty interesting, too.

well, since i’m technically hired by the temp agency i can’t call myself unemployed anymore. i’ll still be on the look out for a real job, though. the interview i had today was for some position that i didn’t really have an interest in, but she passed some stuff along for me for another position that’s better. that one is for somebody more experienced than me, though. it’s the admin support for 4 main people. i think i’d be lucky to even get an admin assistant position. -shrug- i wish i could collect unemployment…
tomorrow is going to be filled with work around the house and constructing furniture. jabba will be glad for the company, i’m sure. we’re thinking about getting a brother or sister for jabba sometime in the future, so he won’t be lonely. so he has somebody to play with and prowl around with. two little pug buddies..how cute!
