e: well, today I did some work for this guy who found my resume on craigslist. did some other stuff too, but I’m too tired right now to talk too much about it. One of the guys who lives below us is a DJ and he wants me to visit the caffe where he spins, but unfortunately I’m too tired tonight to go. if you want to hear some of my stories, call me this weekend… ’cause I got some interesting ones. oh. I had another interview today too. I should know by Monday if I’m going to have a full-time job next week, so that’ll be nice. Goodnight and farewell all..

e: Since our part of town is kind of boring, it’s always an adventure for Candice and I when we go into the different parts of Manhatten. In just the short amount of time we’ve been here in NYC, I’ve met so many interesting people and been to so many interesting places. I wish I had time to tell about all the stuff that’s been going on lately… this is a really good change for Candice and me from the doldrums of Angwin. Moving from a town of about 2,000 people to one with over 8 million is quite a contrast. I’m loving it so far–it’s not all fun and games, but there sure is a heck of a lot of stuff to do here. Apparently, there are about over 17,000 different restaurants in New York City. So, if you at at a different restaurant for every meal of every day it would take you over 15 years to eat at all of them!

well, I searched on eBay and came up with this GEM.

I bought it from somebody else though, but it was only $13 with shipping. It only takes 320×240 pictures, but hopefully outdoors, they should be good enough to post on the blog… i hope. Otherwise I wasted thirteen dollars.

well, i can’t believe it, but i actually managed to hand in 10 work applications to barnes and noble. my hand was cramping up so bad from writting all of them out. i’m also applying to borders, but their app is online, and 37 pages of personal, info gathering questions. it takes me, on average, an hour per store app since they don’t have a inter-store database. i’m hoping this works before i just settle for an office admin job.
yesterday was super fun. several of the stores i applied to were in greenwhich village so we got to walk around there for a while. we *really* liked it! we would love to live there, too, if it weren’t so outageously expensive. for the same price as what we’re paying now, we could be living in a studio in manhattan. a crummy studio. hm…we’ll see when our lease runs up next year. 😉
well, i’m off to eat dinner. today i made a raw ‘turkey stuffing’ and raw carob fudge. oh, if anybody is interested (yeah i know, prolly not) here’s some raw food sites: alissa cohen, raw guru, and raw food talk.

Candice and I took Jabba to visit ‘the pack’ at Lorrie’s house today. I think he gets bored at our house sometimes, so it’s good for him to get out and do some serious playing and socializing with other dogs. Today, there were five of them romping around the place. Candice and I then took off and went on a tour of Manhatten by train and foot, and fought our way through sight-seers crowding the streets. It was a fun day. We probably ended up walking about 5 miles or so… it’s 1 mile to/from our house just to get to the subway. One thing I wish I had and will probably end up getting soon is some cheap-o digital camera that takes 320×240 or 640×480 resolution pictures (so they don’t need to be resized for the web.) And, then I wouldn’t have to worry about losing it (’cause they’re like 20 to 30 bucks.) There are so many interesting things to see here, and I wish we could put more pics up on the blog, but we’ve been too lazy lately.
